Our Goals are to provide Efficient Training, Professional Development, Supportive Industry Training.

What is it?

The Employment, Education & Entrepreneurship (EEE) Model™. The EEE Model is a vendor-neutral collaboration between Houston Community Partners, K-12, Colleges/Universities and Small Businesses. A Veteran community initiative created by the “EDS Tech Training Sites,” our Veterans and Qualified Candidates are identified by the Federal, State & Local Governing entities from Non Profits Organizations, Public/Private and Pseudo foundation. Program participants will receive real-time training through our online platform with Houston Jobs Centers and ReTrain America. Our Special Trades Construction will be 2017 Showcased training under Telecommunication, Construction Inspection, OSHA & NCCER training.

How Does HJC & RTA supports EEE Model?

Houston Job Centers/ ReTrain America developed as a progression model by providing US Veterans & Qualified Candidates with a coordinated set of training activities and real world job experiences based upon trainee’s career interests and Job Market availabilities. Students will participate in project-based learning, job shadows, company tours and preparation training. For those selected to attendance our Fiber Optic Association (FOA) certified for the Telecommunication industry.

How EDS Tech Training Sites offers to works with Houston ISD & Texas Education Agency?

The Construction Math & Technical Writing course study will be divided into eight, two-hour segments designed only for students in the 11th to 12th grades. The classes will be held at a steady pace focusing on classroom development along with on-the-job training. Homework combination assignment will be given to the students. This program will be a combination of classroom school assignments, for ex. A High School Construction Math Courses would mirror Telecom & Construction Engineering On-the-Job Training. Classroom assignment issued by Washington & Jordan HS would be reviewed on-site doing instructional feedback session. Attendance and completed Online Assessment will be an educational tool, with our Math and Technical Writing Boot Camp support dual-credit and OJT platform. All work completed by the student will be issued a certificate of completion at the conclusion of the job program. Our goals should provide students with opportunities for advancement in Employment, Educational and Entrepreneurship. 

How to register for EDS Tech Training?

US Veterans & Qualified Candidates seeking scholarships to support workforce development training must register with the nearest work solutions job center. For US Veterans please see Veteran representative onsite or ask for Darryl Smith.

What is the purpose?

The goal of the EEE Program is to provide US Veterans and Qualified Candidates with training in Telecommunication  & Construction Career fields to provide them with the opportunity to learn valuable job skills that meet industry standards that can lead to jobs and careers in the  Special Trades Construction industry and in other industries based upon students’ interest.

Who is participating?

  1. Minimum Age: 18 Years of age
  2. High School Diploma/GED successfully completed.
  3. Student must have prior work experience/background in the specific field of training. (Example: Resume, letters from employers, etc…)
  4. Valid Government Issued I.D.
  5. Social Security Card
  6. DD-214

When is it?

The EEE Model is scheduled to begin in the springs of 2017

HTEC-HOUSTONS TRAINING AND EDUCATION CENTER, INC., main campus is located at 5335 Aldine Bender, Houston, Texas 77032.  The school’s classrooms and administrative offices are located in a standalone building called the Education Center within the Timber Ridge community.  HTEC is a drug-free facility.
